In an effort to continuously improve the performance and reliability of the Apache sprayer, we at Eq
Technologies are pleased to announce Lucas Oil as our new supplier of fluids and lubricants. All Ap
on or after December 1, 2006 (serial #907 3145) will be shipped from the factory with Lucas fluids a
cants. For Apaches built before December 1, 2006 we recommend switching to the following Lucas
your next service interval:
• Hydraulic System- Lucas Universal Hydraulic Fluid Cat T/04
• Engine- 15w-40 Lucas Magnum
• Transmission- Lucas Universal Hydraulic Fluid Cat T/04
• Differential- Lucas 80/90 Gear Oil
• Brake System- Lucas Universal Hydraulic Fluid
• 90” Fixed Rear Axle- Lucas 80/90 Gear Oil
• Planetary - Lucas 80/90 Gear Oil (AS710 & 42” CC)
• Drop Boxes- Lucas 80/90 Gear Oil (48” CC)
• All Grease Points- X-Tra Heavy Duty Grease
The changing in fluids is most notable in the following components:
1. Both the transmission and hydraulic systems will be using Lucas Universal Hydraulic Fluid.
2. Both the drop box assemblies (48” CC) and the planetary’s (AS710 & 42” CC) will be using L
Gear Oil.
3. The engine coolant will now be “green” in color.
Lucas Oil is well known for long life and durability in heavy use and high stress applications. The Lu
ily of products brings many advantages to the overall life of the Apache. Such as reducing operating

NOTE:
Any fluids used in machines built on or after December 1, 2006 must meet or exceed the
Lucas oil specifications. A complete list of Lucas Oil specifications will be available in the
coming weeks on our web site.
